Interested to hear how you like it. I just bought one too, after spending months researching it and narrowing it down to the Nikon D80, and the Canon Rebel xTi. I have had several Sony cameras and loved them, although the learning curve on this one will be greater. LOVED the link to the pro photos taken with this camera! Will check in later to see how you like it!

Ya, the classes are in Birmingham. I don't know if I want to drive to take classes. :(

The place you got the camera used to offer classes for free with the purchase of the camera. Did you ask about the classes?

I have last years model of this camera and it is extrordinary. I do recommend looking at those photos a pro took on Flickr that Chris linked to. This camera is very powerful in the hands of an artist. I wish you the best of luck mastering it. What camera did you have before? It wasn't bad.

Oh. The a100 DOES have a built in flash.
